Day 1: Salvador
Your English-speaking guide and a driver will be waiting for you as you get off the plane to drive you to your hotel in downtown Salvador.

Day 2: Salvador
After your breakfast, your English-speaking guide will come to pick you up at the hotel lobby to visit the so called “Black Rome”, nicknamed like so because of the African culture influences on its traditions.
Your will start your city tour by the Ordem Terceira de São Francisco church, that has been built in the XVIIIth century.
You will then walk through the famous Pelourinho square, surrounded by colorful Portuguese colonial mansions.
You will go up the Ladeira do Carmo street to reach Santo Antonio neighborhood, and go through the Terreiro de Jesus square to the huge Art deco style Lacerda elevator. Don't resist the temptation of a refreshing “picolé” (ice cream)!
The second part of this tour will be dedicated to the “low city” at the foot of the elevator. The first thing you will see is the Mercado Modelo, a neoclassic building which was used to receive the slaves arriving from Africa. It burnt to the ground in 1986 and has then become a handicraft market.
You will finish this tour by the Bonfim church, see its railings embellished by rainbow-colored ribbons called “fitas” and enter the Miracle Room, where people bring ex-voto hoping to heal wounded family members and friends.
In the evening, your driver will bring you back to the hotel.

Day 3: Salvador - Recife - Olinda
Three hours before your flight, your English-speaking guide and a driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby to bring you to Salvador airport.
Your Portuguese speaking driver will come to pick you up at Recife airport and bring you to your hotel in Olinda.

Day 4: Recife
Your English speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel for a full-day city tour of Recife, the capital of the Pernambuco state.
First, you will head towards the Marco Zéro square, at the heart of the historical city center, which symbolizes the foundation of Recife by the Portuguese in 1537.
You will then cross Bom Jesus street, where is situated South America oldest synagogue – Kahal Zur Israël – which reminds us of the importance of the Israelite community in the city development.
After a lunch near Pátio de São Pedro square, you will visit the Capela Dourada, a Brazilian Baroque chapel with walls covered in gold built between 1696 and 1724. You will then enjoy a walk through the arborized Praça da República.
If you wish, you can also visit the famous Francisco Brennand workshop and Ricardo Brennand's castels and wax museum.

Day 5: Olinda
In the morning, your English speaking guide will come to pick you up to visit one of the most beautiful and well-preserved Brazilian colonial city.
You will first head towards Praça do Carmo square and the Nossa Senhora do Carmo Church, which was built around 1580. You will then go uphill through the colorful streets to the São Francisco convent, before going to the Alto da Sé (the city highest spot). We advise you to come back to watch the sunset. Finally, you will go downhill to visit the Contemporary Art Museum located in a former jailhouse.
Drive back to the hotel.

Day 6: Olinda - Praia da Pipa
The driver will pick you up at your hotel in Olinda to drive north, towards Pipa.

Day 7: Praia da Pipa
Free day to enjoy Pipa beaches – such as Praia do Amor and Praia do Madeiro – and the surroundings.
You will have to opportunity to do buggy excursions along the coast, do some dolphin watching, surf lessons and kitesurf.
Day 8: Praia da Pipa
Free day to enjoy Pipa beaches – such as Praia do Amor and Praia do Madeiro – and the surroundings.

Day 9: Praia da Pipa - Natal - Fortaleza - Guajirú
The driver will pick you up at your hotel in Pipa to drive you to Natal airport.
n.b. 1 hour ride.
The driver will pick you up at Fortaleza airport or at the hotel to drive you to the seaside village of Guajirú. On the way, you will have the opportunity to stop at Lagoinha to see its photogenic landscape and take a bath if you wish.

Day 10: Guajirú
Free day to enjoy the hotel facilities and the peacefulness of the really beautiful Guajirú.
Day 11: Guajirú - Jericoacoara
In the morning, your Portuguese speaking buggy driver will pick you up at the hotel to drive you across a seaside sand dunes landscape.
You will cross Mundaú, situated at the Mundaú River mouth and Icaraí de Amontada (famous among kitesurfers), before reaching Jericoacoara.

Day 12: Jericoacoara
Free day to enjoy the atmosphere of Jericoacoara and its beaches. You will walk barefoot through the village alleys, where all kinds of restaurants can be found, and enjoy the incredible sunset on the closest sand dune to the village.
Day 13: Jericoacoara
Departure at 9h00 for a buggy excursion with a local driver to the Lagoa Azul and the Lagoa do Paraíso.
You will make a stop at the Pedra Furada (holed stone) and the Árvore da Preguiça (laziness tree) to take some pictures.
You will then follow to the lagoons to swim and enjoy the hammocks. Lunch (not included) in one of the Lagoa do Paraíso little restaurants.
Ride back to Jericoacoara in the afternoon.

Day 14: Jericoacoara - Delta of Parnaíba
In the morning, your Portuguese speaking driver will pick you up at the hotel and drive you to the Delta of Parnaíba.
You will follow a road along the seashore and cross the little village of Tatajuba. With its sea loch, dunes and coconut palm plantation, it is for many travelers one of Ceará most beautiful landscapes.
The first river crossing is made at Guriú beach, a small fishermen’s spot.
You will then cross the Coreaú River, on the other side of which is the Camocim village. The dance of the fishermen’s boats over the waves is one of the pictures you will remember from Ceará.
You will then follow the road until reaching Parnaíba, where you will spend the night (either in the city itself or on a Delta island, depending on the hotel location).

Day 15: Delta of Parnaíba - Atins
Full day transfer from the Delta of Parnaíba to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.
You will first take a motorboat through the Delta waterways until Tutoia harbor. On the way, you will have the opportunity to observe the rich Delta fauna. Caimans, monkeys and kingfishers are among the animals you will probably see.
In Tutoia harbor, your driver will be waiting to drive you to the Caburé shoal by a coastal road.
After your lunch in Caburé, you will take a boat for 20 minutes to Atins, one of the gates to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.

Day 16: Atins
Departure at 8h00 from your hotel towards the Lençóis Maranhenses Park. After a short 4WD ride to Canto do Atins, you will walk approximately 50 minutes between sand dunes and lagoons and eventually reach the Lagoa Verde. After enjoying a refreshing bath, your driver will take you to a restaurant where you will taste the famous shrimps of Dona Luiza.
Return to Atins around 18h30.

Free day to enjoy Atins, its tranquility and heavenly beaches.
Day 18: Atins - Barreirinhas - São Luís
You will take a motorboat from Atins to Barreirinhas.

Your driver will pick you up in Barreirinhas to drive you to your hotel or to the airport in São Luís (5 hours' drive).
